Trap Them "Guignol Serene"

"Guignol Serene" by Trap Them appears on their 2008 Deathwish Inc. release "Seziures In Barren Praise". Like most bands on Deathwish, Trap Them's sound has something in common with pioneering metalcore band and label founders Converge, although they fall distinctly on the crustier and heavier side of things and end up sounding like a faster and more chaotic version of Tragedy. Kurt Ballou (Converge) lent his immediately recognizable production to the album, and apparently filled in on guitar and bass as well.

Between the Buried and Me: "The Primer"

From the 2005 album "Alaska" we have Between the Buried and Me and their power metalcore song "The Primer". There are also pretty women in towels.

Misery Index "Ghosts Of Catalonia"

I tried to find a slow jam, but it was tough without going into doom territory. This slower cut off of Misery Index's 2008 album "Traitors" is one of the more restrained songs I've heard by this incredible deathgrind band, and it suits these two women just fine.

Classic Ad: Juliya takes her shirts off for MuchMusic USA.

Does anyone remember MMUSA? MuchMusic was (is?) the Canadian MTV and in 2002 they tried to make an American version which lasted for about a year. A quick namechange and it became which still stands today, unfortunately, no longer with Mistress Juliya. Here is an early ad from the MMUSA days which pretty much guaranteed her a life-time pass from metalheads everywhere.

Necrophagist "Stabwound"

Part two: Two beautiful women get down to "Stabwound" by Necrophagist, off their album "Epitaph" (another from the legendary Relapse class of '04).

There's just something about booties shaking in rhythm to that gravity blast..

Pig Destroyer "Crippled Horses"

I'm pretty sure I just found my new fetish: beautiful, made-up girls shaking their butt to vile, disgusting grindcore.

No huge ink, no 'crazy' highlights, and no bullshit emo swoop. Just a pretty girl dancing incongruously to some of my favorite songs in the world, "Crippled Horses" by Pig Destroyer from their 2004 Relapse Records album "Terrifyer"
